Rosa has never seen anywhere quite like Fleur. Much like Camelot, the town is crawling with nature, with flowers and trees which are relegated to the pages of school documents back home. It's hard to pull herself away from exploring the winding streets and pretty colours — beautiful even in Avalon's current eternal dusk — and make her way to preparing the party.
But she does, because she made a promise to host this party and even went out and bought way too many things in order to make it happen. Okay, the bathing suit she picked up is cute — a simple one-piece decorated with cherries — and the trolley full of food is going to be delicious, but oh boy she's never spent quite so much money in one go.
She's never had quite so much money to spend in one go, but she's been squirrelling whatever she can away since the moment she arrived and hopefully it pays off. Well, at least she knows the food's gonna be good — she's the one who'll be barbecuing it, after all!
First things first: The string lights, hung across wooden posts and magically operated (somehow) to add a bit of brightness to the gloom outside. The barbecue is going to take a while to set up, but she'll get there. That kind of thing is easy. A bucket is placed on a table near the gate with unbroken glowsticks tossed in and a note reading take one! printed out and taped to the lip. Coolers filled with Fleur's local specialty, Berry Milk, as well as all other sorts of soft drinks, are lined up. No alcohol, because she's too young to buy any, but she did specify that people could bring what they wanted. The adults can surely manage to add the booze they want, right?
When the people start to filter in, Rosa is wearing an apron around her bathing suit and wrap skirt, gently stoking the charcoal of the barbecue to make sure it's just right for cooking, a variety of marinating meats and vegetables sat next to her. Quiet music filters from the loudspeakers next to her, attached to her phone, and she's happily humming to the track playing. But she still has the time and energy to greet people who walk by with a smile and a cheerful
"Welcome! I hope you, like, have fun!"
OOC: As mentioned in Rosa's post, characters can bring whatever they want with them — food, drinks, entertainment options, anything! — and add it to the mix. Set up a spontaneous performance, help her feed everyone, get everyone soused, play sports... Whatever you want to do is good with me, just warn if it needs warning!
