[May Catch All + Event]
π§ WHO: Kuko and You
βοΈοΈ WHAT: He's in Camelot now! Time to find his team, learn some magic, and get to know his familiar.
π WHEN: Throughout May
πΊοΈ WHERE: Around Camelot
β οΈ WARNINGS: none right now
He's here...
I. Arrival
[After Kuko got out of the carriage he placed his hands in his pockets as he looked around. It really looked like that rpg he had back home or the ones he would watch during his down time. It had all the knight stuff, but there was technology like his phone. He wondered what kind of place he ended up at. At least he had a cool familiar with him. He read about kasha during his studies he'd never thought he would ever own one! He named his familiar Yuki, he really liked that name, and the flame on their tail was so cool! He walked over to the inn, got his room number, and walked inside. He took the closest bed and jumped in the middle of it. He didn't like the room, but it looked like he was here for now. Kuko looked over when Yuki settled next to him, well everything here wasn't so bad. Kuko rubbed the back of Yuki's ears with a found look on his face.]
Can't believe I get to actually have a kasha as a familiar. Looks like it's time to figure out what I can do in this new world.
[He sounded like one of those protagonists from those light novels Ichiro liked to read.]
II. Exploration Time
[After Kuko spent a night at the inn he decided to look around the area. It really looked like one of those movies about the medieval knights, lords, and everything else that came with it. Well, since he was here he had to figure out his next move. It looked like he could do some odd jobs for people like he did back home. There were more than enough places that needed some help. He walked around the market, taking in the different stands, along with the wares that they sold. He could see a couple of spirits hanging around different stalls. It reminded him of the ghosts that always came around during festival time. The owners still had to see how the stalls were going even in the afterlife. The market wasn't crowded yet, which gave him enough time to walk around. He figured out a place to get some money now he'd have to figure out how long he would spend in the inn before he'd find a place of his own.
Kuko looked over at Yuki who he placed on his shoulder during his walk.]
We got some time let's see what these other stalls have to offer.
III. Wildcard

[It made him wonder how did they keep track of different events and days in this new place. There had to be something they used, right? Well, it was something to think about for later. He watched Yuki walk over to her with a small amused smile. Yuki was a cute familiar, one that he would make sure to protect, and probably take a lot of pictures of in the future.]
It's a good way to put needed energy back into the world. Yeah! I do have a lot of questions! Where do you stay? How do you buy things? Can we all really use magic here?
[Yes, he might have a creature he read in books as a familiar, still he has to know if they can use magic.]

[ Not that Minako couldn't answer them all at once, but.. well, she's aware that it might be a little overwhelming to get that much information at once for a new person. So she smiles, holding herself back to go a little slower. ]
I guess the first question is the most important one right now, huh.. You can live pretty much anywhere you want here as long as you have the money for it, but when you're new, or you just don't want to live in a house all by yourself, you can stay at the inn. They let new people stay there. [ It's something Minako has never had to do herself, mind you, but thankfully she's heard about it enough to be able to recommend it to him.
Finally stopping with patting the familiar, Minako stands up to instead properly face Kuko while she speaks. ]
But you can find all sorts of jobs here around town, and with those you can earn money to live pretty much anywhere you want in the city!

So he could stay in the inn, until he got his own place. He could find a job much easier here too. He would have to figure out what he wanted to do. It would be easier without having his temple duties or really without his dad breathing down his neck.]
Okay, that sounds fairly easy. What kind of work do you do? [Since was thinking about the temple...] Are there any spots that would be good for meditation? [He wasn't going to fall behind on his routine.]
no subject
I work at a karaoke place!
[ That's just an objective fact, after all. And though the answer to the second question also ought to be an objective fact.. It's here that Minako seems to struggle, slowing down as she lets out a slow 'uh..' sound. ]
But as to places for meditation.. [ She raises a hand, scratching her head as she thinks. ] I'm not sure? I mean, there's probably places out there, I just don't know them! I'm not exactly the meditating type..
[ To put it mildly.
Very mildly. ]

[Between the work in the temple then preparing for the rap battle back home he didn't have much time to visit karaoke places. Now that he had the time he had to go. ]
Really? Hmm, I'll have to find a spot then that's not too far from here. That won't be too hard. So! What are some things you can do here for fun?
no subject
[ Now this is something Minako is so much more comfortable talking about. She may not be the type to meditate, but she's sure the type to have fun!
.. and maybe advertise the place she works at a little. But you've got to get those tips from somewhere. ]
You should definitely stop by sometime! And take Yuki along, I'm sure everyone will love him! [ All the headpats Yuki could ever want.. ] But aside from that, there's almost always something to do here. Sometimes there's plays, or concerts, or festivals.. It's kind of nice to just see what kind of fun event each month will bring to the city streets, you know?
[ She pauses, and then sighs as she adds-- ]
Other than the time it rained for an entire month. That sucked.
no subject
Sounds like there is more to do here than I thought. That's good! I'm glad it's not going to be boring.
[Kuko thought about how things would be if it rained for a whole month.] It would be hard to do anything with it raining like that. I... [Kuko started when his stomach started growling.]
Well, looks like I'm going to find some food first before I do anything fun. Oh! We've been talking and I haven't introduced myself. My name is Kuko Harai, nice to meet ya!
no subject
Nice to meet you! I'm Minako, Minako Aino! [ She smiles right back at him, but then returns to giving Yuki some delicious pets. ]
Hmm, I feel like there's one more thing I should say though..
[ That sounds a little bit less enthusiastic - but it's because while it's important to say as well, Minako knows that this news is a little bit less fun than karaoke or festivals. ]
I know that there's a lot of fun stuff to this place, but.. it can also get really dangerous at times. Has anyone told you about that yet? [ She's not sure how much Kuko knows yet, after all. ]
no subject
[Yuki is a pretty amazing familiar. He was definitely going to be spoiled even more once Kuko started working. He watched Yuki before he looked over. Well for every good thing there's something out there to balance that out.]
No they haven't but no area isn't without it's problems. So, what kind of things happen here? Since we have magic it probably deals with that right? Or is it something like a final boss during a video game?
[It made him wonder what kind of dangers could be in this new world.]
no subject
[ It's not like it's entirely wrong, which is why Minako doesn't say more about it, but on the other hand - it's definitely a pretty new way of looking at it. Minako's never come across anything like it before! ]
Well, sometimes it is just about fighting things with our magic, yeah! One time the city got attacked, and things got pretty bad in that big battle.. [ Though she's rather not talk about some of the more gruesome details.
Not that Minako herself can't handle it, but she'd rather not scare a new person that much. ]
But sometimes there's also stuff that no magic can help. So you should always be careful! The danger can be deadly for sure! [ Maybe not all the time, but Minako has seen some people in deadly danger multiple times now. So it's not uncommon either. ]
