It is more difficult, and dangerous, to draw sufficient aether from the environment to empower such a being. One that is created from a source of power, most commonly crystals, can be summoned more readily and with greater strength. Given the circumstances, I would expect Morganna would gain far better results drawing from us, as opposed to ambient force.
