[ Normally, Monika wouldn't have taken part in the fighting. She was by no means a fighter, and she knew where her strengths were. In the library, researching the ongoing attack and finding solutions to help those on the frontlines. She'd always always been aware of her own strengths and weaknesses. But something had changed.
Someone she loved more than anything in this or any world was fighting. And to stay behind when she could do something to protect her? Unacceptable. There were so many ways Minako could end up getting hurt in such a battle— The mere thought was horrifying. And it was her duty to make sure none of them would happen. She'd look after her.. And there was a very noticeable pattern to her attacks. She tried to get to any enemy that threatened to get close to Minako. Of course, there were too many for her to get them all, and even had there been less she just wasn't good enough to hit every target she aimed for.
But she made a difference. Monika wasn't that bad of a fighter. She wasn't great, but she wasn't a dead weight either. So long as she kept attacking from a range, she could defend Minako without being a problem. Or so she hoped. When Minako turned around, a thought crossed her mind. What if her very presence distracted her? What if by wanting to protect her, she was actually putting her in danger? Minako was the expert here. Monika was just an amateur by comparison... She couldn't just delete their enemies or rewind things back. She was a normal human here.
Her heart skipped a beat but she tried her best to hide her worries. ]
I am. [She nodded.] Don't worry about me. Just... Please be careful...!
[ In spite of her efforts, the worry was plain on her face. She remembered when she'd confessed, that topic had come up, hadn't it? The fact that Minako may have to risk her life every now and then. She'd accepted it. But... That didn't mean she couldn't do everything in her power to protect her, right? ]
