⚔️️ WHAT: Samatoki picks up Lily from school and shenanigans of that sort.

⚠️ WARNINGS: This is NOT FAIR..cute CR for Samatoki should be banned, but yes here, have him not be so grumpy. But there will be language, he curses no matter who he's talking to.

Samatoki has taken to checking up on Lily regularly since they arrived here in Avalon, Camelot is not nearly as dangerous as Yokohama. But, with the continuous influx of new people at the same time every month, he makes sure to keep track of the girl. Once he realized there was a school and she would be attending he found out where it was, who her teachers were, all the things he would have done had she been Nemu and this had been Yokohama.

Some days he had her meet him at the bar where he worked after school, today was his day off though and he thought a change of scenery would be good for both of them.

So there stands the yakuza, leaning against the outside of the school near the door, one boot pressed into the building, a cigarette lazing in his lips as the smoke filters up above his head.

Lily had always been fairly protected by her fellow Baskervilles, so it was nice to have Samatoki here. He was so nice to her and she really enjoyed spending time with him. It had become a routine to see him after school and she would tell him about her day. She had never been to a school like this before so it was fun to see other kids her age.

As the bell released them she came running out with other kids. When she saw Samatoki her face lit up as she came running at him. "Samatoki!" Lily was ready to jump at him any moment.

Samatoki thought it was good for her, to get to make friends, learn how to use her magic, and be taught skills that will help her get ahead in life. Plus, after the life she had, if anyone deserves the chance to be normal kid it's Lily and the yakuza is here to make sure that happens.

He heard the bell, stubbing his cogarette out, and stuffed it in his pocket. He pushes away from the wall and by the time she hollers his name he is flashing that feral grin and ready for the jump, he'll be there to catch her every time.

"Hey, kid, how'd school treat ya today?"

Normal was a pretty relative term for Lily but she had been enjoying herself. With the magic she had been learning it pretty quickly and that was fun.

All too quickly she launched herself into his arms, the cat familiar behind her. "It was good! I got good grades with using my magic today!"

She was smart and has a little edge, it's no wonder the Yakuza took to her. Add in that first moment when she grabbed his hand as Nemu used to when she was little and he was a goner from the first meeting.

Samatoki catches her, giving her a hug, then he swings her up so she can ride on his shoulder.

"That's my girl, you'll be teachin' those professors before ya know it. Sounds like you earned some ice cream, how about we go out for dinner." The yakuza makes sure the cat and the girl are settled before he starts walking.

Lily was naturally talented with the magic she has because of her relation to the Abyss and that was a plus for her. She could be kinda stupid with other things but smart in a weird roundabout way.

A loud laugh she was quick to hold on tight on his shoulder. At the mention of ice cream her eyes got bigger.

"Really?! I want ice cream! Can we have something tasty for dinner then? What did you want, Samatoki?"

She's got more common sense than most her age and considering Samatoki operates on one brain cell, she's definitely smart by his standards. Stupid may as well be his middle name as often as he does dumb ass things.

That laugh gets a barked one back from the yakuza, glad he decided to take the day and take her out.

"What, Ice cream isn't dinner? Then maybe pizza or fried chicken for dessert." Makes sense, right? Not really but it's fun and who says they can't eat dessert then dinner, no one around to stop them.

A happy hum from her as she looked around while he walked. She missed ride on Fang's shoulders so it was nice that Samatoki let her do this too. Another happy giggle.

"Yeah! I don't think I've had pizza?" Lily wanted to try lots of new things here.

Camelot is interesting, most Avalonians they see daily look like them, but the occasional pixie or fairy will flutter through and no one except new arrivals seems to think much of it.

"What? You've never had pizza, we gotta fix that shit. C'mon." He knows a good spot that serves up a mixture of American cuisine, the chef, some big redhead kid is an amazing cook and so it is there he heads with her.

Once they are in the door he swings her down into the booth, slides in across from her, and pulls out the menus "Ya can get all kinds of stuff on pizza, gotta have soda with it."

Lily had been curious about all of these people. This place was a lot like a story in the books Master Glenn would read.

"Yeah! What's it like?" Excitedly she asks as he walked them around. This was going to be tasty, she trusts Samatoki.

"All kinds of stuff?"

Samatoki had been at first after the pixies cursed him into being small though, he just gives them a side-eye and goes about his business, tricky little suckers.

"It's like a big pie but savory with tomato sauce and lots of cheese, I like gettin' pepperoni, bacon, and sausage on mine. Plus gotta get some of the red pepper flakes to sprinkle, makes it a Lil' spicy but it's good."

He grins.

"Some people put vegetables and shit on it, but I ain't into all that, like a good meat pizza."
