Morgan snorted a laugh, one hand going up to his mouth to hold more back before he could embarrass himself further. "Hey, that hardly seems fair! No one doesn't have their entire life shaped by the whole being born thing!"

Of course, Morgan figured for sure she meant what a powerful influence her mother had been on her, not the literal factor of being born. But the way she'd put it, that twist was easy to take.
