Her sword being where it is, though, would make this kind of maneuver a fatal one. It would be very easy for an enemy to end his life like this, after all.
Still, upon being struck by the blunt end of his spear, she does release her hold on him. This isn't is a real battle, after all, so while the strike doesn't damage Saber... it still does push her back briefly.
