[If Darin's learned anything in his life, it's that someone staring at him for that amount of time usually meant trouble. She was either sizing him up for something or maybe trying to figure out the best way to ruin what he was setting up as a new life here. Either way, he sure as hell wasn't having it.]
[Unfortunately, the courtyard where lunch and the hot dog eating contest was being held was jam-packed at this point. So space for holding a death defying chase was at a premium.]
[At least, it would be, if Darin wasn't so used to fairs and tournaments like this. What, you think this is the first time he's gotten into a fight at a bazaar? If this is the first fight he gets into today he'd call himself a slacker. As such, Allura is treated to a rather amazing sight as Darin bobs, weaves, rolls around, slides under, and generally makes his way through the crowd like pro football player avoiding every single obstacle. To say the man is adaptable is an understatement; as he moves he's gradually making sure more and more bystanders get between them, consciously weaving through the crowd in a way that more people and obstacles are presented to her.]
[At one point, he rolls up onto one of those large picnic tables and manages to run from one end to the other without stepping on anyone's food, and when he dismounts, he does so with a front flip leading into a roll that has him rolling under the next table.]
[He even caught some kid's ice cream cone from hitting the ground, offers it back, and is off again.]
