[Hot dogs didn't exactly exist where Darin came from. Sure there was sausage, and these were kinda like skinnier sausages, but he was more familiar with sausage as tavern food.]

[And the bread they were wrapped in? And these condiments? What was going on? These looked like some kind of delicacy! All he knew was that they smelled great, he was starving, and he could win something by out-eating literally everyone.]
