Honestly, at first all Minako can talk about is how nice it is to hear Monika say all of that. It does seem like she's grown a lot - realised a lot - since she came here, even though it sometimes had to be through some less than pleasant experiences. But Monika still turned it around for herself, chose to let those fuel something good inside of her, rather than something bad. Taking it easy sounds good, and..

"You didn't? What, you mean that you think they're not going to show up? Don't worry, they're probably just late!"

Of course the first answer is the oblivious one. Partially since it's in Minako's nature, but perhaps also partially due to Minako's brains having taught themselves to not even consider this possibility.
