[ Wrangling horses should be no trouble for someone who has the skill to ride horses and talk to them. The cursed horses are panicked, of course, and his own horse doesn't want to be around the cursed ones -- they clearly are not horses and she will hear no arguments to the contrary. He decides to leave his horse tethered to a tree not too far away to keep her calm. Okay, time to wrangle these things on foot...
Ryouma can definitely get them back to the Rent-a-Ride if he can just get on them...Inspiration strikes when he sees someone approach. ]

[ Somehow, at some point, Ryouma ends up on the last island. It's there his wandering thoughts create the illusion of someone very dear to him. She looks as real as anything, enough that it stops him dead in his tracks. He raises his hand up to touch her cheek with a smile. The illusion seems quite pleased to see him and presses her forehead to his. ]
Oryou... [ He sounds so happy that it hurts. ] I'm so glad to see you again.
[ Ryouma doesn't even seem to notice that they're not alone, or maybe he just doesn't care. Either way, he's too caught up in what he doesn't realize is an illusion to pull himself away from her. ]
