Worrigami

[ A very displeased Sasuke is trying to grab at the crow that's flying circles around him, just out of reach. His tall collar is stuffed with origami paper, and if his barely restrained fury is anything to go by, it was not his idea.

The crow cackles: "Just write down your feelings already, kid!" ]

I already told you — I'm not doing something this pointless!

[ Sasuke starts to pull the pieces of paper from his collar, tossing them to the ground. He raises his foot, ready to stomp on them, maybe grind them beneath his feet for good measure, when his familiar pipes up again.

"I'll just get more. You can't put this off forever, you little punk." ]

Damn it.

B. (For Mash)
This nonsense with the origami is a waste of time. There's no reason, no point in writing down one's fears, worries, or regrets. Doing so wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't make him stronger, wouldn't grant him an ability. It would feel...like he's admitting weakness, somehow. At least, not in the areas where admitting such things could actually lead to strength. No, the feelings clawing at his insides would only get in the way. They were doubts. Suspicions. The deep-seated fear that he's lagging behind, unable to accomplish his goals. They're feelings he refuses to allow space or thought.

So he shoves the sheets of paper into one of his pouches, thinking that would be that.

His familiar has other thoughts. The damn bird pesters him about them, tugging on his hair, digging the papers out, getting more origami when Sasuke tosses the first batch into his campfire. It's a battle of wills. One that Sasuke loses, if only because he's grown tired of the constant annoyance.

Damn it.

With a withering glare at his familiar, he sits down and starts to write. Like most things Sasuke does, it's short, sweet, and brutally to the point: This place has made me weak. I won't be able to do anything if he shows up here.

And how does it make him feel? He glowers down at the piece of paper, before writing Annoyed in thick, angry strokes.

The papers fuse, shift, and fold into an origami snake. Sasuke watches as it slithers off. Once again, as he casts his familiar one more irritated look, he thinks that must be the end of things.

It's not. The origami snake returns, expands to great size, and hauls Sasuke off to find the person whose emotions match his.

Accursed Thanks

A. A Demand
[ He doesn't really get the point of...well any of this. It's clearly meant as a way for people to have fun, but haunted paintings and cursed dolls seem like a weird way to unwind. If it weren't for some of the prizes, two spells that he very much wants to add to his repertoire, he wouldn't be participating at all.

Unfortunately, it looks like he needs a partner. Ugh.

He scans the crowds, looking for — ]

Hey, you. Let's go.

B. Haunted Gallery
[ Sasuke eyes the paintings warily. The people here really went out of their way to make this place as creepy as possible, huh. Well, it's no concern of his. They just need to make it to the end and that sweet, sweet coin will be his.

He pauses in front of one of the paintings, stepping from one side of it to the other, watching as its eyes follow him. ]

Is this supposed to be scary...?

C. Blind Box
[ Well. This seems easy enough, at least? And he doesn't need to worry about tomatoes being chucked at the back of his head like in the haunted art gallery. Win-win.

He doesn't really want to stick his hand in the water, though, so he turns to his partner expectantly. ]

Let's get this over with already.

D. Wildcard
[ Want to do something else? Feel free to write your own prompt or plot with me at stonegathers (plurk) or Moss#9499 (discord). I'm down for whatever! ]
