Forge Aftermath
Everything that happened in the last month was...a lot. Right now, she wasn't sure how to feel about it all.
Perhaps it was a good thing that she didn't have much time to focus on it all. Not with how busy it all was right now.
Darin was working himself to the bone. And so, for her, the priority was trying to take on as much work as she could herself- doing supply runs, checking equipment, giving Darin a nudge if he passed out at his bench.
So it was that, as well as her usual duties as the Forge's "In-House Model and PR Person", she was busier than anyone had seen her in a while, even if she couldn't entirely drop her act whilst she was at work.
And as chime of the doorbell indicated someone wandering in- whether that was client or one of the other workers- 'Junko Enoshima' called over from where she was grabbing a box of supplies off a high shelf.
"Heeyyy- gimme a second, I'll be right with you-"
Training Grounds
Of course, even in all the chaos, she couldn't let up on her training. So in those few days where work and clearing up slowed down, she headed over to the training grounds to focus on her magic.
She knew it was a weak point for her.
Her fighting prowess was impressive, of course it was, but whatever 'muscle' it was she used to wield her magic was horribly underdeveloped. That, perhaps, was why her stamina burned out against that dragon.
"The question is, how I can use my magic with my weapons better? A flash-bang can stun the enemy and I can manipulate the blood I use for bullets, but there's got to be something I'm not thinking of..."
Don’t mind her. Talking to herself like a strange person.
Don't loose your head Quest
As soon as Mukuro had seen the quest- something about a Headless Horseman harassing people attempting to clean up Celliwig- she knew she had to deal with it as soon as she could. After all, if it attacked Darin whilst he was in a sleep deprived state, she didn't want to deal with that aftermath. She had a new mission to protect the people she cared about here, didn't she? That's what that person she talked to on the network suggested.
Besides, she doubted he was the only one of her friends who'd been making a similar trip. They were all good people, after all.
She wasn’t sure who else would turn up to help her out, but she was glad for whatever backup she could get. And as she heard someone approaching, she turned to give a wave.
"Hey...!"
Forest of the Fachan (tw sororicide/abuse mention)
It was on too-quiet nights like this where the thoughts she'd been trying to suppress started to seep out of all the scars in her body. Telling her what a disappointment she was. Another voice saying that she'd been betrayed. Another still that the plan was to kill her all along. How many times she'd failed to keep her act together, how much she'd screwed up.
Her own voice, realising how it actually hurt to see the people and the world she cared about damaged like this.
...
But she did what she could to focus on the task at hand, mindlessly clearing out the wards and traps. And when night fell, she stayed awake, focusing on keeping watch with an uncharacteristically serious expression.
...It was then she heard that horrible laughter, and her hand flew to her knife.
"Get down, something's...!"
