[The fall did hurt, but that's the last thing on her mind when she tries to pull herself up from the cold, damp ground. Her first thought is did they lose the bear? And immediately after it bellows out that roar and confirms that it did work, she's searching around for a sign of Eustace, but the thick fog lining the forest floor makes it almost impossible for her to see much further in front of her.
So she scrambles to her feet, leaves and mud flying off of her, and searches around to no avail.]
