The pain it takes to make someone close themselves off to the world is something she knows well, and it's not something that Tifa would wish on her worst enemy, let alone a friend. She gets it. She knows why he would do such a thing—that fear of losing or hurting people will always be there, no matter how far people distance themselves from something like that. That's just how humans work.
