[The bird thinks for a moment. This really isn't his to explain and he also has to recall what Darin's had revealed openly. This time he's not going to broadcast it so even Hawk can hear while still out of it.]

If he wanted that, he had a perfect chance against the slime.

[Darin might recall Hawk's comments about how it was just a pathetic slime. That's definitely a lot different from how he spoke of the dragon.]
