[Mogget, much as he did when he was living in Aefenglom, doesn't retain a permanent residence. He spends most of his days lying in the sun on a convenient flat roof or someone's windowsill, if it's wide enough, but at night things are a little different.

It only took one morning of waking up covered in dew for him to start looking for other places to spend the night.

So, it could be that you get up in the morning to find a small white cat absconding out of a barely-open window. Or maybe he simply doesn't care if he's caught, and instead is found stretched out on a couch or a spare bed, either in the early morning or late evening when he managed to slip inside. Mogget is utterly shameless, and doesn't care at all about being found sleeping in other people's houses.

He's small and cute, so can you really be that mad about it?]

[He hates that stupid crow.

The creature that was assigned to him as a familiar is one he recognised the moment he first saw it - a Gore Crow. A half-rotten joke of a bird that manages to shed feathers every time it flies, and continues to hang around Mogget no matter how many times he chases it away. Where he comes from, a flock of these things would be created using necromancy from a splintered human soul. Alone, they're fairly stupid and uncoordinated.

His familiar is not quite as stupid, but still not bright enough to keep out of Mogget's reach. Not for the first time, a cacophany of loud cawing and angry yowls starts up from one corner of the training grounds, and anyone investigating would find Mogget pinning a large black bird to the ground with one paw. A bird which, on not-too-close inspection, looks like it really has no business being alive at all.

Later, when he finally persuades the thing to leave him be, Mogget can be spotted chasing butterflies. For anyone who doesn't know him to be entirely sapient it might simply be a cute sight to see a cat playing in such a way. For those who do know of his intelligence, well...

It does put into question his insistence that he isn't actually a cat.]

[Finding a cat that is not his own, lounging in his room, is not unusual at all. It reminds Kazunari of home: of finding Kamekichi perched on his bedpost or his best friend sprawled out in the courtyard, surrounded by the local cats.

So he’s not mad in the slightest. He is, however, sorely tempted to give this pretty kitty the good scritches. He approaches slow and steady...]

Heyyy, buddy ~

(Harry is in the training grounds as usual: getting to practice magic and trying not to destroy something by accident. Now he is in the middle of creating fire in forms besides beams and fireballs as he starts to become more confident in fire magic when he soon gets distracted by a loud mix of cawing and cat yowling not far away from his spot.

Hedwig is alarmed by this as well as it disturbed her much needed nap (owls are nocturnal after all) and Rose squeaks nervously as she directs her head to the direction of the noises. So he picks Rose up from her spot on a rock and runs to see Mogget fighting with a crow. There were no words coming from the shocked young man as he continues to stare at the scene.

If Mogget does spot him, he could see that Harry looks very different from when they last saw each other: no glasses, a clearer eyesight, and a shorter & neater hair to boot.)

[ Amy herself was on the way to the training grounds when she catches sight of a butterfly from the corner of her eye, followed by a dash of white. When she looks over, she does mistaken him for a regular cat at first, but another moment of observing helps her pick up some of the features she'd tried to commit to memory.

And he's...chasing butterflies.

...Mogget?

[ Excuse you, what are you doing here?!

Hello Mogget, this couch is rather comfortable isn't it? Likely surprising since it is located in the hotel-dorms, but it's perfectly soft and more than that, the room is quiet--that is, until the renter's familiar, a tiny silver owl sails through the window after his nightly hunt to find the feline crashed. Feh wastes no time, rocketing toward Mogget, fluffing his feathers out as much as he can before he starts screeching at him.

GET. OUT. OF. HIS. HOUSE!! ]

[The couch is incredibly comfortable, and Mogget is contentedly sleeping until being suddenly, rudely awoken by a very loud bird.

And Mogget does exactly what one might expect any small cat to do when confronted by such a situation. He lets out a noisy yowl and shoots into the nearest hiding space he can get to where Feh won't be able to reach him, then continues making very loud noises and occasionally swiping out with a set of sharp claws.]

[Mogget is after the butterflies in much the same way you would expect any cat to be. He watches them with wide eyes and dilated pupils, making chittering sounds as his whiskers twitch, and now and then he'll launch himself to an impressive height as he tries to catch one.

Amy's voice breaks through the the scene and all of his fur seems to stand on end. He whips round, tail lashing for a moment, then... politely sits and blinks at her.]

Yes?

[The fight between Mogget and the half-dead looking crow goes on for a minute or so more while it's being watched, until Mogget finally decides he's had enough, bats the bird several times with one paw and then lets it flap clumsily away.

He watches it leave, the tip of his tail twitching, then seeming very satisfied with his efforts he sits down and begins cleaning one of his paws.

Stupid bird.]

[Mogget is entirely sapient, but he does love a good scritch in a way that he rarely openly admits to anyone. Until Kazunari speaks he doesn't seem to notice him, but as soon as those words leave him the cat's vivid green eyes open and he stretches, plucking gently at the couch cushion with his front claws.

His belly is as soft-looking and pure white as the rest of him, temptingly on show as he arches his back.]

(Well, that fight had ended rather quickly, at least from what Harry could see. Rose squeaks nervously as she sees the crow flapping about, wondering if it will recover from its injuries. But Harry is more focused on Mogget cleaning his paw after the aftermath.

The young man isn’t sure how the fight started (since he was busy in training his elemental magic after all), but he does know that many cats and birds don’t usually get along too well. Heck, he could hear Hedwig getting fed up with her nap getting interrupted, hooting furiously and her feathers ruffled up in annoyance.

Too nervous to say a single word, he just stands there dumbfounded and in need of some explanation.)

[Gokudera would not mind Mogget staying at his place. However, it's not just his place. Uri is up and more aware of the other feline. The boy wakes up to the sound of his leopard roaring in their small living room, warmed by the morning sun.

The leopard isn't attacking, just making a big dramatic scene, snarling and roaring.]

Uri! It's too early for this!

[Gokudera shouts as he rounds a corner and notices the small white cat. Oh!]

Mogget?!

[Uri chuffs and stalks over to the boy, complaining loudly before getting the side of his face affectionately scratched.]

[Kazunari knows full well that that tantalizing display of soft, white belly is absolutely A Trap. Unfortunately, as a human, Kazunari is weak. Being able to get a couple pets in will totally be worth the bunny kicks or biting. Probably.]

What a ham! You know I can't resist! [There it is. He pets the fluff of Mogget's belly and will enjoy it for as long as it lasts.]

[ That only adds to the familiar's frustration, and as Mogget slides into the closest hiding space, Feh fluffs out as large as he can while continuing to screech. Fear him! ]

Feh!!

[ In the chaos, a door flings itself open, as the tactician practically sprints out into the living room, barking out the owl's name as he continues to shriek at the feline. He isn't big and bad enough to not be immediately scooped up by his master; but that doesn't mean he's done giving Mogget an earful. ]

What has gotten in to you?! Why are you--

[ ...Was that a hiss? Robin blinks a few times, looking toward the sound. Hello?? ]

[He's right, of course, in thinking that touching the presented tum might be a mistake. As soon as his fingers make contact the cat clamps down on his wrist with all four paws, though the creature seems to be taking care somehow to not dig its claws entirely through his skin.

Mogget kicks his back legs at Kazunari's forearm, his tail lashing, and lets out a playful sounding, rumbling growl in the back of his throat.]

[ She has to bite her tongue to keep from laughing. It was just too cute, but she's pretty sure he wouldn't appreciate her saying that.

So she'll just pretend she didn't see what he'd been doing. ] H-Hey...What're you up to?

[Cute...! Cute!! Everything about this kitty is absolutely precious. And only a little painful thanks to Mogget's restraint.

Kazunari gets a couple more belly rubs in before he finally tries to pull his hand back.] Okay okay, ya got me. Mercy ~ ! [Man, if only Sumi were here - he could actually talk to the cat.]

[Something has apparently clued the cat in to the idea that he's not actually in any danger here, so the leopard roaring at him doesn't provoke anything more than an irritated twitch of Mogget's ears.

It's only when he hears the human voice that he finally opens one eye and then uncurls his small body, stretching out and lifting his head.]

Oh, it's you. [He purrs, crossing one paw over the other.] I thought this place smelled familiar.

[Now that the leopard is soothed, and no longer so alarmed by the cat, he's glaring suspiciously at it. Uri stalks up boldly, as if Gokudera petting him had encouraged him, bolstered his ego.

Gokudera watches as Uri moves towards Mogget, ears back, intent to attack. It goes from seeming like the leopard wants to sniff to the body language indicating a fight.]

Uri-!

[Gokudera lunges and scoops Mogget up when he's hit by a large paw, and the claws hurt. He gives a grunt to the pain and then stands, setting Mogget on a window ledge if he allows it, then turns to yell.

Uri flinches and growls before moving to the tree growing up into the attic apartment, then scales it to be moody up there for a while.]

What are you doing here? It's not safe, not-cat...

[The boy twists at the waist, tugging at his shirt to see how much it's torn, whether there's a lot of blood to help indicate how severe the scratch is. It's not the first time his pet leopard has hurt him. This is the worst, though, since Uri hadn't meant to playfully bat at Mogget.]

[The restraint he shows is perhaps strange, for a cat, or maybe it simply speaks of the creature having excellent levels of bite inhibition. However, once Kazunari speaks and tries to pull back his hand Mogget stops moving and looks up at him with his bright eyes, and he quite deliberately lets go.

He rights himself and tucks his paws in beneath his body, the tip of his tail slowly flicking in place.]

You're only lucky I woke up in a good mood.

[Mogget makes no secret of his presence, hissing and yowling until his assailant is finally pulled out of reach. Once he's safer, the sounds die down, but he's still hissing unhappily from his hiding place.

Should Robin get down to the level he's at she'd find him scrunched up in the very back of the spot he chose as his refuge, with his ears pinned back and all his fur standing on end.]

Absolute savage.

[Well. Kazunari is finally thrown off kilter.

He's still not totally used to the non-human residents of Avalon. Especially one that looks like such a normal cat! Not wearing clothes or anything! He recovers quickly enough, but his hand remains hovering where he'd just been petting Mogget.]

I - uh, my b! I totes would not have invaded your space if I'd known you were sentient.

Sapient.

[The cat gives a wide yawn, showing off all of his sharp teeth. His jaw clicks closed and his ears flick, and his shoulders give a little roll as he settles himself into place.]

But don't feel too apologetic. I did let you, after all. [And then, pointedly.] I might have taken your hand off if I felt so inclined.

[He has the good grace to look momentarily embarrassed.]

Indulging some baser instincts.

[... Look, you saw it, Amy. He was chasing butterflies around like he was a little kitten and looking like he was having a whale of a time while doing it.]

Nothing more than that.

I see. [ A giggle finally does manage to slip out. ] Were you able to catch anything?

[ Okay, so maybe just a bit of light teasing. ]
