Gokudera dodges early, and it works. He has to get up quickly, though. While the boss may not have a long distance hit, he seems surprisingly agile, swinging his fists about. A hit lands, and Gokudera manages to block too late, taking some damage as he gets up and starts to block, roll, and dodge, waiting for the moment he can try to land his own hits.
