[It has taken several months, but Rei has finally augmented Hitoya's Hypnosis Mic to his satisfaction. In truth, tinkering with the Mic was the easy part; Rei knows his own engineering well enough to fix it with his eyes closed. Rather, it was testing the output of magical power that was the difficulty-- Hitoya's augmentations don't exactly line up with Rei's magic types, after all. So he had to augment his own at the same time for an approximate understanding.

So far, so good. Rei has contacted Hitoya too, ready to hand it back over. Still, he'd like to field test the thing before declaring the job fully done. And to do that, he needs a control factor.]

Jyushi-kun?

[Rei descends the stairs to the Roost's basement, looking for his tall, dark, and teenager audio tech. Kid's kinda funny, but he's a hard worker and good at his job. Even Princess, fussy phoenix that she is, likes him. But most importantly...]

I have some fieldwork for you today. C'mon up, will ya?

[Jyushi had been working on testing the audio equipment, making sure everything was running fine before they needed to be used for any performances for the night when Rei comes to find him.]

Okay, Rei-san! [He isn't even questioning it, wondering what Rei could mean by 'fieldwork'. Really, he's just happy to be here. He likes this job because it does help him in a lot of ways, especially as Rei had offered to teach him things that he didn't know about yet. It was a good learning experience.

And an even better boss. He'd never met anybody quite like Rei. He was so mysterious and yet had this worldly aura about him. This was a man, just like Hitoya in many ways. He hasn't given Jyushi any reason to doubt him or not trust him. He'd given Jyushi a chance, hadn't he? And so Jyushi was putting all of his faith in him. Not even questioning anything.
