They'll eat practically anything, and most animals like them will enjoy them as a treat.

So the downside is if they only want to continue eating the sugar... In which case, finding a sweeter kind of hay or alfalfa may be better to convince them completely move. Otherwise I also have fruits as well to at least lure them away.
