[That's, uh... Yeah. The plot...he could sort of follow, but it seemed more like some kind of overblown soap opera. And what was with the characters? Grootdoot and Rocky a giant raccoon... A significant amount of budget was certainly used as the effects were well done. The 3D aspect was also interesting, and he was amazed at how added to the realism, affecting his senses so that he actually flinched a bit whenever there were a few surprise pop outs that he didn't anticipate.
But...yeah. Not exactly his type of movie, but he could give it credit for entertainment value.]
It reminded me more of a soap opera with the dramatic storylines and reveals. Given that it's a sequel I expect it would have made more sense if we had seen the first.
