[Oblivious to her thoughts, Eustace looks her over once more before looking back at the horse. As expected, it's got its guard up. With a dog it could easily trample it, but a grown adult man? ...With...weird dog ears?? Yeah, the horse is suspicious, but on the other hand it has made it more still.]
...One of us needs to keep it distracted while the other works to either work out the rope or cut it, and I have a knife on me. The latter will likely be faster but only safe if the horse is still. [With how close it is, to the brambles, one wayward move from the horse could risk it getting cut instead.] Given the situation...we'll both need to approach it and get it used to us before we can do anything.
[Having one them suddenly appear might spook it, so better to just have it used to them both.
He looks back at her.]
How good are you with a knife? Or do you have an alternative idea on how to free him?
[The main problem is getting close to the horse. Once they solve that, they can use different methods to get him out, so he's open to any ideas she might have.]
