The arrow piercing his wing while he was a bird has translated into a shot into his shoulder. Fortunately the arrow had been on the small side and the puncture not too deep. Since it was an arrow made of magic there's also nothing that needs to be pulled out. But the ice from before has expanded over his shoulder like a curse to mitigate his movements, and he does find it difficult to move the affected arm.
