[ Anyone who comes seeking Gwion will find her at the bar... Frustratedly challenging other Celliwig barhoppers to arm wrestling. She's doing pretty good, and it's distracting her from not knowing whether or not anyone's actually going to show up to help. She definitely can't get past a legendary guardian('s great great grandchild) on her own. ]

Yes, and no. You have to know which butterflies have flapped their wings to know what direction things are going. Say I have memories of you sliding down a children's slide at a park and a memory of you refusing to slide to the person you're with. Both of those scenarios exist within different timelines, so there are other events leading up to that will be different. If I go through my day and see a butterfly land on a park bench and horse buck someone off their back in front of the MagiCast office and that matches what I saw in the "slide" scenario, then I know you will slide. If I don't, then it's a different scenario. The more "butterflies" I can match in my memory, the more probable a scenario becomes. This one is swarming.

[ That said, she's not great at describing the butterfly effect in terms of seership, so she hopes it gets across cleanly. ]

[At least Sizhui seems to be giving the situation careful thought. He's not well versed in how soothsaying works, though he's aware that it can be a double-edged sword. While the prediction could be correct, it could also just as easily be the catalyst for the direction that their fates took. Then again, not paying it the proper attention could be equally disastrous.]

...It stands to reasons that there's a future where we act and save the King, but is there also a future where we act and the King was never in danger? Did you see how Celliwig would react?

That'd be convenient, huh? Celliwig isn't trying to hurt you, they only wanted to make sure the otherworld humans weren't going to go all Crusades on the fairies again by testing if there are at least enough of you messed up that you don't have room for a collective holier-than-thou attitude.
