On the other hand, Sephiroth did very little to hide his appearance. In fact, he moves with an air of confidence. He cares very little who takes notice, a trait he kept from his days as a hero. Though back then it was more due to not being very social and not so much his current god-complex.

Either way he still avoids people. Now it's simply because he views others are below him. Which is why he hadn't noticed her at first -- she was just another figure in the crowd. He also had a purpose here though it's rather benign. Sort of anyway. He's making a mental layout of the city, what he will ultimately do with that information might not be so nice.

Of course this meant his path ultimately crosses with hers and he ends up stopping almost directly in front of her.
