The wave will be pushing them forward quickly along with the sound of a roaring noise similar to a loud engine. This was, indeed, the worm farting.
And this was the roller coaster part of an amusement park ride that Kotarou was not expecting to happen here. He's yelling for dear life as they're being pushed forward together towards an open hole that's reflecting sunshine. That's the asshole, isn't it?! I'm gonna have trauma about this for weeks!
