... Darin, that doesn't make any sense. Even if my soulmate were a kidnapper, my father would never allow him to get away with it.
[Even though they're speaking the same language, there's still an impressive barrier to get past...]
And even as far as meeting someone like that — I suppose my expectations were more realistic.
