[As mentioned in this network post. She's opened up a little café and serving some fresh beer to those who want to be taste testers, with a free waffle for anyone entering. I'll have two options available. One being to allow people to simply mingle with one another. And another for those that want to interact with Belgium herself. As a note, yes the drinks are quite high in alcohol and she will cut you off at two.

No drunken shenanigans in the newly opened café please and thank you! >:( Though feel free to get tipsy and buzzed~.

1 - Taste tester

[She smiled as she brought out a chilled glass filled with equally cool, golden, frothy ale. Belgium was obviously quite proud with how the drink turned out. Things worked better than she had first imagined they would have, even if it did all take a bit longer to setup than she had originally anticipated.

She sat the drink down in front of her tester with a smile on her face. Eager to hear what others thought of it, whether it was approving or not. All helpful comments were welcomed here so she could better tailor her drinks to fit their needs!]

There you are, do let me know what you think after you finish.

[The drink itself would be lightly fruity in flavor to along with the pleasant, herbal scent. Refreshing with a slight bitter aftertaste to it.]

2 - Serving

[It was opening day and she was currently running around, taking orders, delivering orders and totaling up checks. It's all quite a workload for a single person to do with only a scant few npc helpers! Still she looks like she has energy to spare and sported a pleased smile on her face.

Things were going well.]

3 - Mingling/wildcard

[Whether it was during, before or after hours of course she would take break to chat, mingle and relax! Feel free to come up with a scenario or pm me if you want something more specific~]

[An open post for those who would rather have their characters mingle with one another. Enjoy the food and drinks everyone~!]

[ With Avalon getting on Marielle's last nerves, she welcomes the booze. But she's still a proper lady, so she's not gunna chug it down like some behemoth. She first takes a good whiff, and nods in approval. ]

Mmm... what a delightful aroma. It's as if I'm picnicking in a meadow!

[ Turns out Belguim beer is a tad stronger than Maribelle had been expecting - plus, she had some earlier as a taste tester, so she's a tad... tipsy. ]

GODS DAMN THIS PLACE! Is it really too much to ask for a few days of peace and tranquility?! I made a friend, someone I thought was a real friend, and she BURNS DOWN THE FOREST!

[ ... yes, she's drunk. ]

My home magic is useless! We're dragged into conflict of kingdoms we have no loyalty to! And MY WAR HORSE WAS SHRUNK DOWN! WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THAT?! I HATE THIS REALM!

[ She thunks her head on the table, letting out a pitiful whine. ]

... Maybe I should see if there are any gambling establishments in this realm...

I'm glad you enjoy it, just wait till you taste it.

[Glad that she's enjoying the ale and her time here. It was nice to see people relaxing and enjoying themselves around food and drink.]

Go on, give it a taste.

[ She takes a slow, cautious sip, and then sighs, pleased. ]

... Mmm. Quite divine! I'm tasting fruit, correct?

Mm, that's the local hops that I used. They came out quite well given that this is a rushed product.

[Belgium's voice sounded quite happy and proud of herself. Given the amount of time she had and the material on hand to work with. Saving all that money and taking her time gathering information on the local market had paid off it seemed.]

One would never guess! It tastes of experience and thoughtfulness, a truly lovely concoction. You should be very proud.

[ Another good sip! Yum. ]

[As promised, Finn arrives to taste test the alcohol. He settles in and waits for the drink. As he's served the beverage, he eyes it for a second, taking in the color and sniffs it slightly. He's pretty sure that's part of the tasting process.]

Okay, here we go.

[Finn takes a small sip, swishing it around in his mouth for a few seconds, before he swallows it.]

Say, that's good.

[Noiz pulls the glass close and breathes in a hearty whiff of the drink's aroma before taking a sip.]

It's not bad. Only a little bitter at the end.

I'm far more happy that everyone seems to be enjoying it.

[And a little embarrassed. But yes! The pride certainly shows on her face. A successful experiment.]

[Yep, he's right it is part of the tasting process, and just generally enjoying the drink in general. The smell is, after all, part of the drink! The best way to appreciate the taste is also to appreciate the smell.]

See, I'm sure you might have a slightly different way of tasting it. But it shouldn't be all that different from other drinks you've had in the past.

It's good after a long, warm day.

[She gave him a smile in return. It was nice to watch people enjoy your creation after a bit of trial and error.]

I'm quite glad that you enjoy it though. Would you like something to snack on while you drink?

The taste reminds me a little of the kind of alcohol you'd find in Morrowind.

[He takes a longer sip, really appreciating it this time.]

Morrowind alcohol tends to be made of fruits or a grain that can only be found in that province. I spent the past year in the province of Skyrim, where they tend to favor mead and ales. The Nords love their alcohol.

[He likes Skyrim mead, since it's made from honey, and he likes honey. But his favorite will always be fruity drinks.]

Is this the sort of thing you do back in your realm? As a chef, or...?

Speculaas. Just a handful.

[He's never had the biggest sweet tooth.]

[ Sasara loves going out to eat, touring new restaurants... this is sort of a change of pace! But it's in line all the same, and seems interesting enough. He couldn't bring his partner, though—that guy has no tolerance at all—so there's no one to keep him in check, either...

Ahem! ] Hmm, got a recommendation? I s'ppose anything's fine, ya know. I'm kind of a hoptimist, hahaha!

[ ( Like hops! Get it!?! )

He's a Real comedian... no, Actually. ]

Oh yes I very much enjoyed cooking, baking and making drinks. Back home we had thousands of different, private breweries so it's something that you kind of get used to knowing about. Even in passing.

Ah, meads are quite delicious too. Sweet, and are great either warmed or chilled and are quite good during colder months.

[She smiles wistfully as she thought about Denmark's, Sweden's, and Norway's wines. Maybe she can do something special during this place's winter.]

But yes, the blonde ale that you're drinking is primarily made of local grains and hops that I managed to find. It's quite fortunate that the market prices here are not all that high.

Of course, give me just a few moments.

[She walks away behind her little display case and pulls out a few cookies of different shapes and designs before heading back to hand them to him.]

[A little quip on his part. As if they could actually visit each others' worlds.]

I may not know much about making alcoholic beverages, but I know what I like, and this I like. Amazing what one can do with fermented grain.

[He divides the group approximately in half and sets aside one half, sliding them over to a napkin to wrap them up. Once he takes a bite from one of the remaining ones, he asks her a question.]

Do you have cooks and bakers working under you, or are you doing all that work?

... Wait, thousands?! All across your land?

[Kadoc doesn't do much going out to eat, but after his conversation with this woman on the network a while back, and then seeing her announcement go up . . . he's gotta admit he's curious. The whole personified country thing is more than a little hard to swallow, yeah, but stranger things have happened. He wants to know more. And also, it's been a long time since he had European cuisine, even if he didn't grow up in Belgium. Why not scout things out?

. . . It smells good in here. Despite his diffidence, he can't help but feel welcomed when he's greeted by that aroma.]

You're even waiting tables? . . . I was looking at the gratin.

[IT'S . . . it's the woman he'd danced with at the party . . . the one he'd actually been in his right mind for. Oh dear. She sure is . . .

Well, she's not wrong about any of that.

Mostly, anyway. Kadoc's not trying to eavesdrop rudely, but he can't help but overhear, from the next table over. After spending a minute deciding whether he really wants to involve himself in this, he does finally call over, against his better judgement:]

We put out the fire. It was fine. Obviously there was damage, but it didn't get out of control.
