[Oh he knows it. He doesn't particularly trust her either, but that's less of an opinion on her character and more of one about people in general. People lie and betray. That's why it's so easy for him to condemn all of humanity in a single swoop.

But he also expects certain individuals to act a certain way. Which is why he knows only a few of Cloud's little friend group will outright attack him if he does nothing to provoke it. She's on the list of those he doubts will. And that's not really trust.]

I don't believe there is anything I could do that would change your view. But that is of little matter. I have nothing to prove. But I also have no reason to lie when I say it is beneficial for us all to stay on the same path in order to return to our world. This place --

Is not where we belong. Though I will say it does open possibilities ... other worlds, other planets just waiting for someone to descend from above and bring to it a new order. It is something to consider at least.

[His overbearing obsession with Cloud will probably keep him from ultimately straying too far even if the opportunity suddenly presented itself though. Which is probably fortunate for any other universe out there.]
